Universal's Islands of Adventure Theme Park - Orlando

With two major Theme Parks in Orlando, there are two choices here for visitors. The more mild 'Ride the Movies' theme of Universal Studios Florida, or the more wild 'Thrill Rides' of Universal's Islands of Adventure located adjacent to Universal Studios Florida...
Here, we'll focus on Universal's newer Theme Park - Universal Studios Islands of Adventure.


Themed after your favourite Super Heroes and Cartoon Characters, Universal's Islands of Adventure is a favourite among the young and the young at heart. There's the 'Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man' Ride (Experienced in 3-D via a moving vehicle with awesome special effects!), Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls, Jurassic Park River Adventure and Popeye and Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges.

For the younger members of your party, there's also 'The Cat in the Hat' Section that offers 'The Cat in the Hat' Ride, the 'Caro-Suess-el' a Merry-go-round themed after Dr. Suess Characters, and of course, the 'One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish' ride! - a great ride for any age...

For a 'Spectacular Show' and 'Special Effects, don't miss 'Poseidon's Fury' or the 'Amazing Adventures of Spiderman Ride!' For the more adventuresome, there's also the 'Doctor Doom's Fearfall' where you're 'rocketed' high into into the air at 13 G's, and just as fast on the downward journey! (Great view, but terrifying). And don't forget about 'The incredible Hulk-Coaster' and the 'Duelling Dragons Roller Coaster (Definitely, not for the 'faint hearted').

A special note here, because of the number and nature of the 'thrill rides' available here, not all children under the height of 54" inches (1.37 Meters) may be able to ride all the rides available. For your convenience we've listed all the 'Minimum Height Requirements.' Use this information wisely as depending on your party's size, and that of the age group that's travelling with you, this may or may not be the Park for you. But if it is...you'll have a 'Great Time!' And so will your Kids!

54" (1.37 Meters) or taller: Duelling Dragons, The Incredible Hulk-Coaster

52" (1.32 Meters) or taller: Doctor Doom's Fearfall

44" (1.12 Meters) or taller: Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls

42" (1.07 Meters) or taller: Popeye and Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges. Jurassic Park River Adventure

40" (1.02 Meters) or taller: The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman
